SHANTI
Villa

Set within the lush landscape of Ubud, Shanti Villa is conceived as a quiet retreat for researchers—a place where living, working, and resting remain closely connected to nature.

The architecture and interiors draw from Bali’s tropical character without relying on literal references. Natural timber, woven rattan, textured cement, stone, and earthy fabrics create a restrained material palette, while generous openings frame the surrounding forest and allow daylight, air, and greenery to become part of the interior.

Communal spaces are warm and grounded, designed to encourage conversation and shared moments, while the private rooms shift toward a softer and more minimal atmosphere for rest and concentration. Throughout the villa, handcrafted textures and natural materials introduce warmth against the simplicity of the architecture.

Rather than separating the building from its setting, Shanti Villa is designed as an extension of the landscape—calm, tactile, and quietly immersed in Ubud’s natural environment.
